You might have noticed that it wasn’t just Apple who launched brand new and potentially revolutionary hardware during the last week. AMD Radeon launched the RX 6800 XT and RX 6800, which are for the first time in many years, comparable to what NVIDIA is offering at the higher end in terms of performance and pricing. At least, when it comes to gaming. As NVIDIA GeForce cards are meant for gaming too but perform brilliantly in creative applications, does that mean that creatives can finally pick up a card from someone other than NVIDIA?...

Adobe not only announced and released a new version of Lightroom Classic during Adobe MAX. Photoshop received a similar treatment and in comparison to what we got in Lightroom Classic, this is an absolutely massive update. Photoshop is of course much more versatile than Lightroom Classic and used by many different types of professionals. I’m specifically interested in whether there is anything in it that will help us, landscape photographers....

About a month ago I released a video in which I discussed whether us creatives should be considering the new RTX 3080 or even the absolutely insane GPU that is the RTX 3090 for our creative applications. And I came to the conclusion that we almost certainly won’t need one unless our hardware is seriously outdated. Well, we now have a definite answer as to whether we should upgrade or not....

People unfamiliar with how editing works will often ask me if I photoshop my pictures in order to make them look better. While I do often use Photoshop to remove people in landscapes and unwanted branches reaching into photos, the bulk of my work is actually done in Lightroom. Well, what is Lightroom then? If you use it for editing it must be similar to Photoshop, right? Do you photoshop your pictures in Lightroom?...
